I introduced a lesson yesterday morning. I didn't hear many groans or complaints and they seemed to maybe learn something and get somewhere with themselves. We will actually be starting the project this coming Tuesday. EEP! I will be in charge of half of the class.
I also took an interest back in one of my unfinished works started last fall. That of my cityscape stitchey. I would say if the kids are doing one, I should be too.
That would be a good policy to have, working on a type of art similar to what my students are at the time. I like that idea. It's very good.
Keeps me making art. Something important that I think ALL art teachers should do. They should do something of some sort. Be it drawing, painting, scuplture, whatever. They need to keep up with their own work and knowledge and implement it in their lives.
Please God let me think this way about teaching art in a decade...
I'm also enjoying my first weekend off too. ^_^
Devious Comments
I helped out in teaching some classes where my mum works when I went home for vacation in November.... it was terrifying, yet fun.
Right now I am praying that 10 years from now it WON'T be terrifying and will STILL be fun!
Good luck with week two
What sort of teacher do you want to be?
I think if you really want to do it, you will be ok. ^_^

That's cool. Basically, you are going to be an elementary school teacher. Awesome. I used to want to teach art at that grade level...
Not anymore.

The dreaded coolness....
I can only wish you luck if you (and you prolly will) teach any kids like some of the ones I went to class with!
I don't dread the coolness, it's there for the rest of their lives.
